setting up watering system, HH chores. Must have own transport, road
conditions

pastures with mountains to creek flats covering 300 sq. miles. Our
operations
include helicopter mustering 3 times a year and bringing cattle to
central
yards with horses for processing. Outside activities

drafting,
canoing, seasonal Rodeos, local agricultural shows and country music
festivals.
Work includes mustering cattle, weaning, hand feeding orphaned animals,
horse

Brook is located 150 kms from Charters Towers, 3 hours from Townsville.

station houses a young family with young children. We are not close to
any
shops so we entertain ourselves with BBQ’s, dinners, picnics,
visits from
neighbours and football. We can P/U from Cairns or Townsville with
prior notice
and prefer a stay
of at least 2 weeks. If you don’t mind hard
work, would like
to experience something different and have fun, you’re more
than welcome to
come and stay with us. Work includes mustering on motorbike or
horseback,
cattle work, welding and all aspects of station life, as well as HH
duties and
child minding (optional). Accom. for

which
is a 60,000 acre cattle station located on the Herbert River, 45 kms SE
of Mt.
Garnet and 3.5 hrs from Cairns. I am an English ex-wwoofer who married
an
Aussie whom I met riding the Bicentennial National Trail.
We
need help to establish an organic
vegetable garden as everything is overgrown (we have just moved here)
so
weeding, planting, mulching work is involved. There is also plenty of
station
work as we muster using a helicopter, bikes and horses (experienced
riders only)
and there are ongoing building projects, fencing and all aspects of
station
life. We have abundant wildlife, friendly Kookaburras and wallabies in
the
garden, great fishing and bushwalks, lots of animals, horses, dogs,
cats and
chooks. There can be
trips out to local
attractions, seasonal rodeos, great food and company. Separate
accommodation
for 1-2 people with toilet shower and fridge with meals at main house.
No
children. Mixed diet including meat. Bus service to Mt. Garnet from
Cairns or
may be able to pick up from Atherton or Ravenshoe with prior notice.
Basic
English a must. Boots and hats recommended. No drugs.
